A pure malt whiskey named after Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whiskey. This whiskey is characterized by its dense aroma and rich, deep aftertaste that only pure malt aged for over 21 years can offer. After a surprisingly round mouthfeel, a solid depth and aroma gradually emerges. This is truly the supreme pure malt that Japan can be proud of around the world.
As this is a pure malt blended with raw liquor aged for over 21 years, it has a fruity aroma like aged peach and tropical fruit, and is also attractive for its rich, dense aroma and rich, gorgeous barrel aroma. Taketsuru 21 Year Old is the pinnacle of the Taketsuru series, and unfortunately, it is a legendary blended malt that was discontinued due to a shortage of raw liquor.

Aroma: Fruity aroma reminiscent of well-ripened peach and tropical fruit. Rich and dense aroma, rich and gorgeous barrel-aged aroma, moderate peaty aroma.
Taste: Soft yet complex and full-bodied. Subtle bitterness.
Finish: A full-bodied aftertaste spreads widely before disappearing.
